Lisa wearing her art

I think of myself as an artist, rather than a jeweler. I just happen to work in precious metal and use the human body as a pedestal. I also frame my more elaborate neck pieces so that they can be displayed as works of art on the wall when they are not being worn. The majority of my work is one-of-a-kind. Many pieces have themes and tell stories, and are coming from some place in me that is not thinking "design a necklace" but rather "create a sculpture that flows and works in the round" whether it be in a box frame or on a body.

Whether it's sculpture or jewelry, my work is most certainly something unique that is inspired by all my years living and working in the beautiful colonial town of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato Mexico.
